The skyline runs as a dense band through the middle of the composition, peaking where twin spires frame the moon a little off-centre, while a single diagonal searchlight beam on the left counterbalances that vertical cluster. Take it in from the bed and you see a glowing ridge of towers between a stormy sky and a reflective waterline; up close, thousands of lit windows, rooftop ornaments, the bustle along the quayside and the rippled reflections reveal how much has been packed in. Because the lighting is entirely nocturnal, daylight brings out the cloud texture and fine architectural detail, whereas in the evening, with lamps turned low, the illuminated windows appear to sparkle and the room takes on a penthouse-at-midnight mood. The long horizontal waterline widens a wall visually, and the deep perspective across the water lets the room borrow a view it never had. Smoked glass, polished chrome, leather club chairs, velvet headboards and lacquered surfaces underline its urban glamour. Hang it behind a bed or across the widest wall, aligning the waterline roughly with headboard or desk height so the city seems to sit just beyond the room. Because the panels are cut to your own wall's dimensions, the moon and twin towers sit exactly where you want them and no landmark disappears into a corner.
