Mulled Cider, oranžs

Rather than a single hero, the composition scatters several focal points across a deep bed of overlapping leaves: three skulls, a cluster of carved pumpkins and a trio of bats, so the eye travels in a slow zigzag from corner to corner. From across the room it reads as a rich, textural mass punctuated by grinning faces; step closer and you find hand-inked leaf veins, fine cracks across each cranium, the fur on a bat's shoulders and the papery husks of lantern fruit. Daylight sharpens the etched outlines and the contrast between the foreground leaves and the shadowed ground beneath, while low evening lamplight lets the background recede so the carved faces seem to push forward. Because the leaves are layered without breathing space, the mural draws the walls inward and lends a large room a cocooned intimacy, while a compact room becomes an immersive jewel box. Pair it with dark-stained oak, aged brass candlesticks, velvet upholstery, wrought iron and handmade stoneware for a gothic harvest-table mood, or temper it with plain linen and bouclé so the artwork stays the headline. Give it a single dining wall behind a sideboard, or wrap a small powder room entirely for maximum effect. Each panel is printed to your exact measurements, so the scene runs from skirting to ceiling without awkward cut-offs.
