Instead of a single focal point, the composition is an ordered field: medium-sized skulls sit in staggered rows, each cradled by a symmetrical cartouche of scrolls, and alternate rows are inverted so the eye zigzags across the wall rather than settling. Across the room the skulls register as a crisp, almost lace-like lattice; step closer and you notice the dry-brush strokes, the tiny beaded teeth, the faceted crystal points and the slightly uneven edges that betray a human hand. Skulls and scrollwork stand out sharply against the flat ground, so the design keeps its graphic punch in dim evening light, while bright daylight brings the soft brushed texture to the surface. The vertical stacking of the frames lifts the gaze toward the ceiling, and the busy, medium-density layout makes a small room feel deliberately enveloping rather than cramped.
