Reveillon, μπλε

The angel sits just left of centre in the upper half, her outstretched wings forming a wide V that frames her face, while the tall brick stack beneath her drives a strong vertical down through the middle of the composition. From across the room you see wings, stars and the plunge of rooftops; up close the detail rewards attention, with individual toys in her arms, the coursed brickwork of the chimney, the cowls of the chimney pots and faintly lit windows in the distant streets. Light falls from the upper sky and catches every snowy ledge, so the painting brightens beautifully by day and takes on a soft, lantern-lit intimacy in the evening. The high vantage point creates a dizzying sense of depth that visually pushes the wall back, and the tall portrait format draws the eye upward to make ceilings feel loftier. Painted wooden furniture, linen bedding, a sheepskin rug, vintage tin toys and glass pendant lights all continue its storybook charm. Use it as a single feature wall behind a bed or a long dining table, keeping the angel high enough to clear headboards and chair backs. Each mural is printed to your wall's exact dimensions, so the winged figure lands exactly where the eye naturally rests.
